Making Cupcakes

After browsing from one site to another over the internet, seeing lovely and tempting cupcakes (must be delicious), finally I attended a cupcake baking class. It is just to fill my curiosity. How do they bake and dress the cupcake ? Of course I have tasted cupcakes before. Yummy ! well, thanks to Eyna for teaching me how to make one along with the decoration using fondant, piping gel, butter cream and edible picture. It was tough for me as I don't have any basic in making decoration for cakes what so ever. But I enjoyed doing it, a learning process. With fondant, it's like playing with dough; using tools and moulds to create shapes; roll, cut, bend . . . you name it. Huh, just like kids playing with plasticine. Can't believe it, I can make a rose using butter cream; so many nozzles to try with. Now I know how to bake cupcake and decorate it. Ehmm ... will I do it on my own ?

Birthday

Last Saturday my family and I celebrated my son's birthday. Actually it was 3 days earlier than the actual date (which happens to be on school days). He won't be around on that date as he will be at his hostel. We bought cup cakes from Cuppies4you. Love the taste and the deco of the cakes. Happy Birthday my son !

Kukup

Kukup is located south of Pontian, a small town at the southwest corner of Johor. It is a fishing village with many houses built on stilts over the sea. This village is famous for its seafood restaurants. There is an international jetty in Kukup. From the jetty, people can take a ferry to Batam Island or Tanjung Balai in Indonesia, or even to Singapore. People can take a boat trip to visit Kelong @ floating fish farm. Also a trip excursion to Kukup Island to visit a mangrove swamp. The Kukup Island is actually a Johor National Park. Here are some photos taken during my visit to these places.
