Parit Karang Laut

It is a village in Jalan Kesang Laut, Ledang. Quite a nice place, located near a mangrove beach of Malacca Straits. There is a Medan Ikan Bakar near the beach and also a jetty for fisherman.

Brownies, Shortbread & Blueberry Cheese Tart

Yesterday I attended a class on how to bake brownies, shortbread and blueberry cheese tart. Thanks Siti for teaching me and giving valuable tips. Also to Nurul for insisting Siti to conduct the class. Fida, nice meeting you. Actually, no more classes are conducted by Siti; well, not until after Hari Raya. Siti is too busy with orders for Raya. Want to know why ? Her cookies and cakes are so delicious. So yummy ! I really love it. I wish I can be a good baker like her. Here are photos of the cookies that we have made.

Dataran Penggaram

Dataran Penggaram is a place located at Batu Pahat town. A famous 'Batu' (rock)and 'Pahat' (chisel) structure can be found here. It symbolised from where Batu Pahat got its name. The origin of Batu Pahat's name can be traced back to a legend in the 15th century where rocks were chiselled by Siamese troops in the coastal village of Kampung Minyak Beku in hope to get fresh water.
